A Short Drive Away

Ludlow can be reached by car or bus, with connections to train and air transportation. Approximate driving times are as follows:

From Albany take Interstate 787 to Troy, NY. In Troy, take New York Route 7 east toward Bennington, VT. At the Vermont state line, NY-7 becomes the Bennington Bypass, Vermont Route 279. Follow VT 279 to US Route 7 North. Follow US 7 north toward Manchester, VT. Take Vermont Route 11 East to Londonderry, VT. In Londonderry, take Vermont Route 100 North to Ludlow. In Ludlow, turn right onto Vermont Route 103 which is Main Street. The Governor's Inn will be on your right.

From Boston take I-93 to I-89 North. Continue on I-89 into Vermont to I-91. Take I-91 SOUTH to Exit 8 and follow Route 131 West (right at bottom of ramp) NORTH for approximately 16 miles thru Proctorsville to Vermont Route 103. Turn right and follow VT Rte. 103 to Ludlow village. Rte. 103 becomes Main Street in Ludlow, and the Governor's Inn will be on your left.
(Alternatively, take Massachusetts Route 2 or The Mass Pike ( I-90) WEST from Boston to I-91. Take I-91 north to Exit-6 in Vermont and follow VT-103 to the inn as described above.)

From Burlington take US Route 7 South to south of Rutland. Turn left onto Vermont Route 103. Follow VT-103 south about 25 minutes to Ludlow, where VT-103 becomes Main Street. Continue through the traffic light and past a gazebo on your left. The Governor's Inn will be on your right.

From Connecticut and points south, take I-91 to Vermont Exit 6 and follow Route 103 NORTH for approximately 22 miles to Ludlow. Route 103 becomes Main Street in Ludlow, and the Governor's Inn will be on your left.

By Train

Amtrak's "Ethan Allen Express" runs from New York City to Rutland, VT, which is 30 minutes away from Ludlow.

By Air

Major airports are located in Burlington, Vermont; Albany, New York; Hartford, Connecticut; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Boston, Massachusetts. A smaller regional airport, located in Rutland, VT, is served by Cape Air.
